Global Oil And Gas Corporation Replaces Next-Gen AV With Endgame

Company with $2 billion in revenue and over 12,000 endpoints entrusts Endgame to stop targeted attacks.

Endgame, the leader in endpoint protection against targeted attacks, today announced it signed the contract with a global oil and gas company. After evaluating over 20 endpoint solutions, the company selected Endgame to replace their current next-generation antivirus (NGAV) solution due to the reduced complexity of multiple agents and increased scope of protections across the MITRE ATT&CK™ Matrix.

As a global oil and gas corporation, this company protects a wide range of diverse assets that operate in marine environments. Their security stack consisted of over five agents including antivirus (AV), exploit protection, and application whitelisting tools. While their security team was skilled and nimble, these disparate tools made triaging alerts complex and cumbersome. Moreover, the company was increasingly exposed to targeted attacks, specifically fileless attacks that bypassed existing endpoint protections. Their security team evaluated Endgame and other endpoint products against the following criteria:

Ability to stop targeted attacks that go beyond malware

24×7 online and offline protection with a minimal performance impact

Accuracy of alerts with minimal false positives

Ease of use to rapidly triage and remediate alerts

Endgame was the only endpoint protection platform to meet these criteria with its full stack protections across the MITRE ATT&CK™ Matrix, offline protections, and ability to elevate security teams with Artemis®, Endgame’s AI-powered chatbot, and Resolver®, Endgame’s intuitive attack visualization. The company was able to reduce cost and complexity in their IT environment by eliminating multiple host agents with one prevention, detection, and response agent from Endgame.

This customer win is the third major AV or NGAV replacement deal for Endgame in the new year. Most recently, Endgame announced a deal with a Fortune 100 financial services company and the U.S. Navy Cyber Command. The company was also named one of the top three visionaries as part of Gartner’s 2018 Magic Quadrant for Endpoint Protection Platforms. To learn more about Endgame, request a demo.
